  1. In a certain country ½ of 5 = 3. If the same proportion holds, what is the value of 1/3 of 10 ?

    Guess the answer...

(Think of this problem in terms of humans. If you have 5 humans, and you divide by 2, you get 2.5, but since you can't have a half a person, you have to round up to the nearest number to 3. Just a hint.

  2. 5x(1/2)=2.5~3
    5x(1/3)=1.667~2
There are two sets of 5 in 10 so you multiply the approx. 2 times 2: 2x2=4
    So 1/3 of 10 is 4.....

I'm almost positive this is right and if not than oh well, i tried :P...

  3. Haha, try rounding up to the nearest number... 2.5 (half of five) rounds up to the nearest number of 3 ... 3.33333 (one third of ten) rounds up to 4... that was my logic... since you cannot have .333 of a person, you have to round up to the nearest person. Anyway, thanks for trying LOL
